We are very pleased to inform you that our designers are not slowing down and after last year’s success in the WorldStar Packaging Award and Pentawards competitions, this year their work was also appreciated by the jury of the Pentawards competition. During the ceremonial gala, which took place on 25 October in London, representatives of our company received a silver statuette for the packaging – or rather a can holder – holdAIR.
The author of the project, which has already been patented, is Jakub Ambroży – Product Development Expert. The holdAIR packaging family responds to current trends in the areas of sales, marketing and reducing the negative impact on the natural environment.
They were designed as handles that allow for the creation of multi-packs, which guarantee excellent product display, while using a small amount of material. The design of the handles ensures their easy transport by consumers, and the cans carried in the handles give the impression of levitating in the air. The handles are assembled manually and do not require any additional materials, such as glue or tape, or specialist production lines. The cans are attached only with cardboard outlets. The handles were designed to minimise material consumption. For example, the handle for 250 ml cans uses only 18 g of cardboard, ensuring the possibility of transporting 1 kg of cans.
It is worth emphasising that the awarded product has already been commercialised – it can be found in sales throughout Poland, including in the branding of Tymbark, Nestea and Tiger energy drinks.
This year, the 18th edition of the Pentawards competition took place. From among 2,000 entries from over 60 countries, the international jury appreciated 436 works, which won bronze, silver and gold statuettes in their categories. Special awards – diamond and platinum statuettes – were also awarded.
The winners included representatives of countries such as Colombia, Argentina, Hong Kong, Peru, Senegal, Canada and Vietnam. Leading designers from Armenia and Japan came to the gala, and the most awards were won by representatives of China. Only two companies from Poland received the jury’s recognition: Werner Kenkel Bochnia in the Sustainable Design – Beverages category and PG Branding in the Body, Health & Beauty category (bronze statuette).
