Company history

In 1979 there were three employees working in the company. As of the end of 2019 there are 1 600 people in the entire group. Current development of our company is influenced by the use of modern machinery, halls and production systems, along with the individual development of each of us.

With this in mind, we would like you to join us for a short journey through time.

Establishment of the Company by Werner Kenkel. The company employs its first three workers, and launches solid cardboard packaging production in a rented garage in Włoszakowice.

Construction of a new Werner Kenkel company headquarters located on Rzemieślnicza Street in Włoszakowice.

The packaging production plant in Leszno at Narutowicza Street.

The company moves to Krzycko Wielkie. There is the launch of the first corrugated board production line. A new business entity under the name of Werner Kenkel Spółka z o.o. is established in Krzycko Wielkie.

After the death of Werner Kenkel, sons Adam and Damian become the owners of the company. The company is computerized, R&D departments are set up and a modern laboratory is created.

Start of offset packaging production at the plant on Rzemieślnicza Street in Włoszakowice

Installation and commissioning of a new Fosber corrugated board production line. There is intensive development of company infrastructure, logistics and technology.

Launch of a new offset plant in Krzycko Wielkie in the vicinity of the existing factory, with transfer of production from Włoszakowice.

Start of operations in the newly built packaging factory in Bochnia.

Installation of the most modern and fastest BHS corrugated board production line in Europe at the Krzycko Wielkie plant. Corrugated board production commences at the Bochnia plant.

The 40th year of Werner Kenkel activity. The company founder’s name has today become a recognizable brand of a reliable Polish family organisation, with over 1,500 employees in all three production plants.

After 21 years of work as the President of Werner Kenkel, Halina Florek retires. The older brother, Adam Kenkel, becomes the new CEO of the company.
