This year our company spectacularly celebrates its 45th anniversary.
The preparations for the jubilee event lasted for 16 months, and the whole KartonCity was built for the jubilee in the record time of 5 days. Its largest district is Odlotowo which spans over the area of 4,950 m². The main street of the city, known as the Werner Kenkel’s 45th Anniversary Avenue, will be 20 metres long and will be the central venue of the event.
The heart of the city will be its largest building, that is an 18-metre-high amphitheatre, which will be surrounded with cardboard advertising columns that will be informing the participants about the event programme and available attractions.
The whole city will have 80 cardboard lamp posts that will light the area in the evening, and 120 trees will make the city space charming. 168 benches will be set up for the participants’ comfort, which is a part of the bigger idea, as all city elements are made of materials that will later be recycled.
To build the jubilee city, we used 8,878 m² of cardboard and 44,391 m² of paper. Such a great quantity of materials was necessary to create all the structures, decorations and furnishing elements that will cause the city to be a unique place. The jubilee is not only an occasion to remember and reminisce, but also an inspiration for further action and development.
