ECOLOGY ON WHEELS

The area of the Werner Kenkel Group’s production facilities is about 100,000 m2, on which several dozen forklifts move. These vehicles enable us to carry out logistic and transport work. Forklift operators take part at every stage of our production process. Starting from unloading paper bales and delivering them to the production of cardboard, through the collection of produced packaging, to the loading of trucks with the finished product.

A few years ago, we also had internal combustion forklifts, but since 2014 they have been successively replaced with those powered by an electric battery. There are many factors that confirm that the direction we are taking is ecologically, economically and functionally appropriate.

The environmental benefits were crucial for our company. First of all, electric forklifts do not emit exhaust fumes that are harmful to people and the environment. Thanks to this, we can also safely use them inside our production halls. In addition, the electric wheelchair offers great driving comfort: it is quiet and manoeuvrable even in narrow passages. In addition, the process of replacing the batteries in the devices is quick and efficient. Also, charging the electric forklift battery does not take too long and the batteries are very effective.

Apart from ecological and functional factors, electric forklifts are definitely more economical because their operation is much cheaper.
